Deer Hunt 2011

This year we had a great time. My mom, dad, sister Tay and I all had tags for the rifle hunt and we all got a deer. Tay has never killed one before so it was fun to be there for that. It was the last morning we could hunt and we went for a little drive, two bucks were together and we each got one. We had a ball even though they aren't huge deer they will sure taste yummy! (I really wouldnt know how they would taste, I dont eat them but they say when they are young they will be better eating!)

Here she is, 1 and done!!!

Here we are with our monsters.

Tay & Mykel

Mine has more points but Tay's is bigger. :(

So excited!

Here we are, mine is super little but we wont starve, that's the most important part! :)

Deer Camp 2011

Deer Camp 2011 was a blast! I had a really bad attitude for some reason about it but after getting an attitude adjustment things went really good. We had a lot of fun. There were over 12 families at the camp and around 70 people, so to say there were a lot of people is an understatement. This year Adam Eakle from KSL's, Outdoors with Adam Eakle, was able to come be a part of our camp and bring the TV show and do a fun little story on our camp. Adam has been a friend of the family for many years. The guys from Camp Chef came down, cooked dinner and desert for us, it was a blast. We had a great time, we have not killed many deer but we have all done plenty of shooting. I am not sure how many tags we have but there is a lot of us, and most do not have deer. Hopefully this coming weekend we will change that around. :)

Here are a few pictures from the weekend. Believe it or not, I did not have my camera with me so these pictures are from my sister Taylor's camera and I'm still waiting for Kiesha to get me her pictures that she took....hint, hint! :)

Tyson and Addy by the fire!

Cheese....

I have decided me and Tyson can not take a good picture together. I look about 500 lbs and Tyson is normally not big of a cheese ball!

Addy loved camp. She was so dirty, I had to wash her clothes twice!

She was having a ball.

It was freezing out there the second night. We still had a good time but it was a little chilly.

Being a dork.

Our lovely friends...The Orton's!

This was the night it was so cold!!!

Addy and Davin....Best Buddies!

We seen this snake in the road and of course, Mykel couldnt get out of the truck fast enough to get it. I for some reason was so sick....I felt like I was going to throw up, well I almost did because Mykel wouldnt leave it alone.

YUCK!!!

All in all we had a great weekend. Hopefully this weekend we will get a deer so we dont have to eat my tag for dinner.

Preschool Halloween Party!

Yesterday Addy had her Halloween Party at Preschool. She was so excited to dress up in her Tinkerbell Costume. This picture isn't great because its from my phone but this was the only one we got of her. She told me she had lots of fun at the party and she is now really excited for Monday to go Trick or Treating.

Elk Hunt on Cedar Mountain

Last weekend we went up to our family's cabin on Cedar Mountain for the elk hunt. Tyson and I didnt buy tags but we figured it would probably be the last time we could go to the cabin so we packed our bags and headed up. Addy was so excited to sleep over! We didnt leave Beaver until about 6:30 so we had a late start but we ended up getting there around 8. My mom, dad and their friend Tony were already up there. When we showed up they had a fire going and were just waiting for us to get there. We got all settled in and my mom made some yummy tacos and we hit the pillows. My dad and Tony got up early to go hunt, Tyson forgot his hiking boots and only had his tennis shoes and was afraid his feet would freeze so he decided to sleep in and hang out with the girls at the cabin. We got up and the guys called my mom on the radio and told her there was lots of shooting going on, on the college property and to come down. So we all loaded up in the rhino and headed down the property. We didnt see any elk but we had a great time.

Addy was being silly and smiling funny

After hunting all morning the guys come home and started cutting some fire wood for the cabin and they also loaded a trailer full to bring home.

Dad loading the firewood under the shed.

The bee's at the cabin are horrible this time of year. My dad got stung while hiking earlier that morning. Addy and Tyson were getting ready to go lay in the ham-mic and Addy got stung right by her ear. It must have hurt really bad because she cried for a long time. We gave her some Benadryl and Tylenol and she fell right to sleep. We watched her close because she has never been stung before and we have people in our family that are very allergic! She seemed fine after she woke up.

My mom making some yummy breakfast!

It was a long night with three of us in the bed and the little one would not go to sleep!

She was really happy when she woke up to find out her dad had found this little guy for her.

Huge band aids make everything feel much better!

We were just getting in our truck to leave and Tyson put his hand on the handle to jump in and there was a wasp sitting there that got him right on the finger. His finger swelled right up and was hurting really bad. The bee's got 3 of the 6 of us that weekend. They were really bad!

No one ended up getting and elk but we all had a great time. Now its time for my hunt this weekend! I am so ready, I didnt get a tag last year and I have an itch. I hope we get one! We have lots of tags in my family so hopefully some of us will get lucky!!!

Pumpkin Patch!

This year we decided to head to the pumpkin patch! We had to run to St. George to do a few things and so we stopped at the Staheli Farms. We have never been there before and it was a blast! We will be going every year! Addy didnt feel very good, and actually got really sick (AGAIN) when we got home so she didnt have as much fun as she could have but I think she still enjoyed it!

Before we started!
